SOWEGA Rising is seeking applicants for a Rural Health Equity Director to work on community public health and preparedness, including the COVID 19 response and Black women maternal mortality. 

Qualifications

• Candidates must be detail-oriented, work well under pressure, have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, think creatively, and be able to manage competing priorities.
• Additionally, candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Community organizing, policy work and/or nonprofit experience are a plus.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
• Professional experience working on public health issues is required.

Location

Primarily remote with some travel around Albany and Southwest Georgia. 

Compensation

Salary range is $40-$60,000, depending upon experience.

environmental justice and climate justice, including  the COVID 19 impact.

  strong interpersonal skills, think creatively, and be able to manage competing priorities.
• Additionally, candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Community organizing and/or nonprofit experience and advanced degree preferred, but not required.
• Professional experience working on energy equity, climate change, environmental justice or utilities justice is required.

Location

Primarily remote with some travel around Albany and Southwest Georgia.

Salary range is $40-$50,000, depending on experience.
